The Batmobile - Batman: The Television Series
My inspiration for the series came from the origins and introduction of Batman at the end of the Era of Art Deco in 1939. Art Deco is something that I feel is deeply ingrained in Gotham and the Batman Universe!
The three cars of focus here were my introduction into Batman and inevitably DC and the comics universe in general! I did not get into Batman through comics, books or games, I became a fan through TV and Film. My first introduction to Batman was from the 1960’s Television series and watching reruns on antenna. Adam West’s Batmobile was my first intro into Batman and made me curious to see 1989’s Batman!I loved the Art Deco Stylings of Gotham City in Tim Burtons take, but these films were not enough. When Batman: The Animated Series came out and my dad showed it to me I was hooked!
It was Retro - Futuristic, Dark and Gritty with a bit of mystery. That is what I hope to convey with these posters and hopefully what you take away as a viewer.

Ceres - The Asteroid Belt - By Ron Guyatt
Space Travel Poster - 25 of 52
Ceres, minor-planet designation 1 Ceres, is the largest asteroid and the only dwarf planet in the inner Solar System. It is a rock–ice body 950 km (590 mi) in diameter and the smallest identified dwarf planet. It contains about one-third of the mass of the asteroid belt. Discovered on 1 January 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi, it was the first asteroid to be identified, though it was classified as a planet at the time. It is named after Ceres, the Roman goddess of growing plants, the harvest, and motherly love.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Space tourism is still a long ways off, but it’s not hard to imagine that someday, tourists will visit the natural geological landmarks of other worlds much like they tour the Grand Canyon, Mount Everest or Ayers Rock. Each of these great tourist destinations needs a classic retro travel poster to entice visitors. Until the day people settle off world and make their own destinations many of these may be the places that people will want to travel too. I hope that these posters can inspire people to think beyond our world to the limitless possibilities of the Universe.
Check back every Sunday for a new Poster highlighting various Destinations, Landmarks and Wonders in our Solar System.
